Wow from around the Net: Smart Monster

Never have I proclaimed myself to be a car guy, actually it is quite the opposite I know very little about cars. That doesn’t mean that I don’t know how to do any of the basics and I don’t think I will find myself stuck on the side of the road anytime soon panicking because I do not know what to do. It just means you probably will not find me hanging around a garage spouting off about what make and model are the best or how to fix an engine.

That all being said, not being a car guy, does not mean I cannot appreciate a beautiful vintage car.  I also have an appreciation for anyone willing and able to pour the necessary time and money needed to build and restore a beautiful one. On the same note I can really understand how hard and creative you have to be to take a ridiculous notion and make it into a fantastic reality.

A co-worker of mine discovered a talented gentleman who took a ridiculous idea and turned it into something so hilarious it is awesome. A Greek rally racer by the name of Stefan Attart is the man who birthed a wonderful creation, a mix of cute and seriously intimidating. Stefan brought forth into this world a Frankenstein type car in the form of a monster truck smart car.

Check it out:

Seeing this bad boy tearing up a mud hole would be a riot and this is the first time I have every really thought that the Smart Car could be seriously cool. The only thing that I am still curious about is if he kept the stock features of the smart car when he did the over haul, heated seats and mud driving would be a great combination.

Wow from around the Net: Halloween Pranks

Let us start today with how I want to wish everyone a Happy Halloween and wish you all a happy Hump day, I guess this makes it a Happy Halloween Humping Day.  Usually Hump day signifies the low part of a week, so close to being over and yet the weekend still seems so far away.  However with the fun holiday of Halloween paired up with the super slow Hump day it makes for an interesting time.

Most people take the time on Hump day to post about funny things to make the week seem not as bad. Tonight being All Hallows Eve the night where all of the tricksters rule the night and harmless pranks are afoot. To start this day some of my co-workers decided to get in the mood early by “renovating” another co-workers cubicle.

On the topic of pulling pranks on friends it is now just over two weeks until I move into my new house. This subject actually relates because I think that me and one of my tenants may start a prank war. This is something I am actually excited about because it means that I will finally have someone good humored enough to deal with some pranks. This is all dependent upon if he is game to do such a thing or not, maybe I should ask him or not, this could go JackAss.

Also with Halloween and Pranking in mind I founds this hilarious account of a prank that this guy pulled. His description, and his facial expressions while talking, of what he did is so funny I almost pissed myself from laughing so hard.

Tonight I am celebrating by going to a Halloween party for me and I hope to share with all of you how that went tomorrow.

Wow from around the Net: iPhone Sex Toy

TECHNOLOGY it has been shaping the way the world communicates with each other for over a century. Since the world famous Canadian inventor Alexander Graham Bell built the first phone the world has been steadily improving upon his creation. For those who know their history they know the Mr. Bell invented the telephone in his attempts to make the telegraph better. Which the telegraph was in turn was just an invention that projected Morse code farther than it ever could before then.

Essentially for years humans have been trying to find new and better ways to connect to one another. Today connecting with someone anywhere in the world is so different than it would have been a century ago. Hell with all of the massive leaps in innovation that have happened recently we are now communicating in ways the ten years ago were considered to be the ideas of science fiction.

In the middle of last week Apple finally got around to announcing the creation of the long awaited iPhone 5. It is the newest in the line of iPhone products which when they first hit the market were one of the biggest leaps forward in technology. The new iPhone announcement as it always does caused quite a big stir in the technological community.

I myself am an iPhone user but I am not the stand in line and pay oodles of money to get the new model type. I use it as what it is, a smart phone and I prefer the simplicity of the phone for my day to day uses, I am not the brand loyal type. I saw this rebuttal commercial to the iPhone 5 announcement done by the Samsung Galaxy S III, and I found it to be quite funny.

Check it out:

Also other news on the art of improving communication with loved ones through the use of modern technology. Kickstarter has kicked a different advancement in communicating off of their site, due to being a little too racy for them. I am talking about a sex toy made by LovePals that can allow you to get your partner off from anywhere in the world. By the use of Bluetooth technology these sex toys, name Zeus and Hera, allow you to control the sensations your partner feels.

This is a very interesting concept when you think about it and if you want to get in on the ground floor and invest check it out for yourself.

If you choose invest in this tech here: Zeusand Hera

We defiantly live in a very interesting time that is for sure.

How to survive a Zombie Apocalypse: the Holidays

Photobucket
So I know that I have been falling behind on my posts but I am trying to keep up as best I can, however life is super crazy as of lately so I am finding it challenging to keep on posting. I had a couple very interesting tips and topics that I thought about doing for today's segment but decided that I wanted to do a bit more research on all of them before posting them. My theory is the more you know the more informative you can be, and I guess I have to face the facts and be honest that I have been a bit unorganized as of lately and have fallen a bit behind on my day to day things.

So here is a fun Video in hopes of making it up, although I know that it is not the best I can do.

crit 20 to life

So I was patrolling the Internet using my favorite search engine google, I had googled D&D and on the 7th or 8th page I saw an article from the fox news website. So me being a curious little D&D monkey I did a double click to discover what America's most conservative news station had to say about one of my most enjoyed pastimes. Low and behold to my astonishment I discovered that it was an article from over a year ago on a court ruling that had happened two years before that.
So three years ago a tribunal of three judges came together and under a consensus decided to ban the popular role playing game from the nations prisons. Now if prison itself wasn't a deterrent from crime now with this knowledge that I could not game in jail I am going to make sure I keep my nose clean and stick to the law.

My first thought to this was why the hell would a game be banned from jail that seems stupid so I continued my research to find out more. The reasoning that the judges gave for the decision is that the game promotes gang mentalities, because there is one leader and a group of people who follow him. When I found that out my jaw dropped and I began laughing hysterically until I realized I was alone and laughing like I was crazy. To sum up the judges think that a DM is essentially a gang leader and know my DM's I think they think that is true too.
While doing my research into this matter I found out that it had been brought to the guards attention because an inmate sent in an anonymous letter to the guards, what a nark, saying that the players were acting like a cult and trying to find new members. I don't know about any one else but for a while it was hard to find some one willing to be an acting healer and the people who I game with ate always talking about how awesome it is. Hell even I know I have said everyone should play some sort of role-playing game.
Back to the subject at hand after the ruling came down the guards swooped in and took all the source material in sight as well as all hand written notes, character sheets and battle maps. That really sucks and for anyone that games you know with out the sheets we are all at a loss.
All in all I wonder how many people wanted to be rouges who actually got away with the crime.
